Admission : PhD Programme in Mathematics

Eligibility

(the degree you must have/ or you are currently pursuing and will complete by July 202 ) : MA / MSc / M Math / M Stat / ME / M Tech in any area of Mathematics / Statistics / Science / Technology. 

Students holding a 4-year UG degree with ≥75% aggregate are eligible to apply directly to the PhD programme (instead of the Integrated PhD programme). However, they will not receive a Master's degree together with the PhD.  Such candidates may choose to apply to the Integrated-PhD programme if they wish to obtain a Master's degree together with the PhD. 

Admission procedure

Candidates wishing to enroll in the PhD programme at TIFR-CAM have to appear for the TIFR-GS written test “Mathematics (PhD at CAM only)”  at one of the several nationwide centers.  No other GS-2026 test score and no other exam score will be accepted.  Those who qualify for the written test will be called for further evaluation and screening at TIFR-CAM.
