Abstract: We will discuss the inverse problems related to higher order partial differential operators in a bounded domain. In the first part of the talk, we consider an inverse boundary value problem for a polyharmonic operator with several lower order tensorial perturbations and show the unique recovery of all the lower order coefficients of the operator from the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map defined on the same part of the boundary, under the suitable geometric assumptions on the domain. In the second half of the talk, we consider certain lower order perturbations of biwave operators and prove the uniqueness of the perturbations from the knowledge of partial boundary measurements. This is based on joint work with Dr. Sombuddha Bhattacharyya.
