Abstract: In this presentation, we will investigate some geophysical events where shallow flows approximations can be applied. Recalling the main ingredients of the shallow average we will present numerical  applications to landslide (Taiwan context).  Therefore, we will show how to extend the classical shallow modeling in order to take into account shearing process as turbulence. This was originally proposed by Teshukov in 2007 and extended to include friction by Gavrilyuk in 2018. We will propose a way to obtain accurate approximations of this non conservative system of equation, in the framework of finite volumes, using unstructured grids. We will present numerical results in comparison with the Brock's experiments (1969) and simulations of 2D roll waves.
