Abstract: In this talk, we present a direct parallel approach for the solution of elasto-hydrodynamic lubrication line and point contact problems using a class of total variation diminishing (TVD) schemes. A discrete linearized complementarity system is solved using projective alternate quadrant interlocking factorization (PAQIF) algorithm. The proposed method for solving banded linear system on parallel computer is very much useful when the size of the linear system is much greater than the number of parallel processors.
