Abstract: I will describe several recent results on the convergence of classical fractional semi linear systems or scalar equations to newly introduced geometric objects, i.e. fractional harmonic maps and nonlocal minimal surfaces. The non locality of the problem induces several technical issues I will describe and also new phenomena compared to the local case. I will also describe open problems.
