Abstract: We plan to talk about solutions of the extension problem for the sublaplacian on the Heisenberg group and show how fractional powers of the same can be obtained as a Dirichlet to Neumann map. The solutions thus obtained can be used to prove a Hardy type inequality for fractional powers of the sublaplacian.
