Abstract: We study the existence and multiplicity of weak solutions for elliptic equations involving the Laplacian or more generally, the p-fractional Laplacian operator. The nonlinearity that we are concerned of is of convolution type having critical growth. The equations with such nonlinearity are generally termed as the ’Choquard equations’. They are inspired by the well known Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality. We employ the variational methods and asymptotic analysis to obtain the results.
