Abstract : Regularity theory for minimizers of functionals of p,q-growth was first studied by Marcellini who proved Lipschitz regularity of the minimizers with the restriction q/p < 1 + 2/N, where N is the dimension of the ambient space. We discuss some Lipschitz regularity results for bounded minimizers of scalar autonomous functionals with p,q-growth where the restriction on q is independent of the dimension N.
