Abstract: Here we present an inverse problem in elastodynamics of recovering the density of a medium (locally) from partial boundary measurements. Our model deals with domains where only a part of boundary is accessible for experiments. We consider a bounded elastic medium and measure the displacement to stress operator on the accessible part of the boundary and determine the material parameters like density and Lamé parameters locally near the accessible part.
