Abstract:  The notion of a holomorphic motion, introduced by Mane, Sad and Sullivan, is a formal way of describing holomorphic deformations of subsets of the Riemann sphere. In this talk I will describe some results about the complex geometry of the graph of a holomorphic motion.  In particular, I will sketch a proof that the graph cannot be biholomorphic to a strongly pseudoconvex domain. This is joint work with Herve Gaussier.
