Abstract: Oscillating flow originated by vortex shedding has always been a topic of interest for researchers as it has immense pedagogic and practical importance in the field of fluid mechanics. Such situations can be modelled computationally and analysed with different numerical approaches such as finite volume, lattice Boltzmann methods, etc. Here, a comprehensive overview of flow interactions and subsequent energy transfers will be covered. The goal of this research direction is to understand vortices formation and its effects on the surrounding solid/fluid structures. The results of this study will benefit to better understanding of flow physics of onset and cessation of vortices existing in our nature. Lastly, the future aspects of the high-performance Python computing will be demonstrated using MPI (message passing interface).
