Abstract: This is a real life story of a math problem generated out of a tiny change in a Class 6 textbook and how that germinated into deeper explorations that led us all the way into conics. It is also a story that demands navigating both 2D and 3D worlds. Last but not the least, it is also a case where a mistake provided a crucial key to the most difficult parts.

But wait, that's not the ONLY fun part! Let's talk school math - what can you unearth? Can it give you the joy of discovering something? Of exploration and adventure? Can it reveal treasures? But then why do people at large fear math? What's going on in the big picture? What can be done? What can YOU do?
